FACILITATING RETREATS

• Designing, facilitating, and following up on 1 and 2-day intensive board-CEO-executive team retreats, including:
  
  
  • Strategic Planning Retreats: updating values, vision and mission statements; identifying strategic issues; brainstorming strategic change initiatives
  • Governance Retreats: clarifying the board’s governing role; identifying governance issues; updating the board’s governing structure and processes

  Doug Eadie designs and facilitates retreats that are tailored to your organization’s unique needs and circumstances and are highly participatory. Participants will be satisfied and energized, and the detailed Action Report that Doug produces maps out follow-up steps to ensure that your retreat generates action, not just words.

ASSISTING TASK FORCES

• Providing hands-on consulting assistance to Governance Task Forces consisting of board members and the CEO, which are charged to generate recommendations for strengthening the board's governing role, structure and processes. Doug's assistance includes:
  
  
  • Preparing for Task Force meetings
  • Drafting the Task Force Action Report to the board
  • Assisting in presenting the Action Report to the board

ADVISING CEOs AND SENIOR EXECUTIVES

• Serving as Governance Counsel to CEOs and senior executives, helping them to fashion and execute strategies for implementing changes in board role, structure, and process that have been generated by a retreat or task force.
